My Pensieve

It was 4.20 p.m and I was in Chennai Airport.
I was near the air-deccan counter to get my boarding pass. The flight was scheduled to depart at 5.15. 2 elderly foreigners (both must have been 70 plus) approached the counter asking for details about the chennai-cochin flight. the departure time in their ticket print-out was 5.10 p.m. They had taken the print-outs from some hotel somewhere outside India.
The lady at the counter politely informed that the flight has already left at 4.10 p.m. They had rescheduled the flight, you see. They had also sent them an S.M.S about the schedule change, you see. To add fuel to the fire, their flight back to switzerland was scheduled at 9.30 a.m from cochin the next day.
she (the lady at ...) called her immediate boss who immediately sorted out the problem. He offered them a seat in the flight scheduled the next day at 4.10 p.m, you see. Seeing too much "bakar" happening, i asked the swiss couple to step back and extracted out of the manager's brain some vital info.
* air deccan also refunds the money to the passenger's credit/debit card in such circumstances.
* there was a flight scheduled next day in jet airways which will reach cochin around 8.00 a.m and that was the only way they could reach cochin the next day.

i told the lady at .. that i will get the boarding pass at the last moment. i had to be in the security-check area at least 20 minutes before the flight.

i took them to the jet airways counter and after many minutes of desperation, J.A people made a tentative booking. All foreigners are supposed to be checked-in 2 hours before. So, they told me that they will confirm the booking after the ppl at Quantas (the flight in which they are going to switzerland) agreed to the couple being a bit late. The couple did not have any phone no. of Quantas. The international terminal is a five minutes walk from the domestic.
so, i asked them to talk to the quantas people (who will have a counter in the international). I was unable to accompany them from this point onwards as i had a flight to catch.

i gave them my mail id and asked them to mail me once they reached switzerland.

* my flight was 2 hours late, u see.
